Royal Guard
Repel, store, retaliate: Dante's defensive style.
Royal Guard is one of the four styles available to Dante in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, alongside Trickster, Swordmaster and Gunslinger. It lets the player repel enemy attacks with a button press, storing the energy of the blocked blows for retaliation. Like Dante's other styles it can be leveled up twice; in the Special Edition, Vergil instead has a single style, Dark Slayer, similar to Trickster.
