Nico
The foul-mouthed engineer who builds Nero's Devil Breaker arms.
Nico, full name Nicoletta Goldstein, is an engineer and gunsmith who supports Nero in Devil May Cry 5. She runs his side of the Devil May Cry business out of her van and builds the Devil Breakers, the swappable mechanical arms Nero fights with after his Devil Bringer is torn off.
She is the adoptive granddaughter of Nell Goldstein, the gunsmith who made Dante's pistols Ebony and Ivory, and she grew up on her grandmother's stories about Dante.

Background
Nico's father, Agnus, walked out on her and her mother Alyssa when she was a toddler; she was raised by Nell's son Rock, who encouraged her interest in engineering and guns. She hated her father and felt only relief when Nero told her he was dead, yet she studied his notes on demons and alchemy and folded them into her own work. Before Devil May Cry 5 she went looking for the truth about Fortuna's destruction, which led her to Nero.
During the Qliphoth attack on Red Grave City she builds Overture to replace Nero's lost arm, then turns demon remains into new Devil Breakers such as Punch Line from Goliath, Ragtime from the Elder Geryon Knight and Rawhide from Gilgamesh. She has also built guns for Lady, recreated Lady's Kalina Ann from memory, and made Dante the Dr. Faust hat.
Director Hideaki Itsuno wanted a sassy heroine who would actively help Nero fight; writer Bingo Morihashi's idea of making her Agnus's daughter was combined with Itsuno's idea of making her a Goldstein. Her motion actress, Faye Kingslee, added much of her humour.
