Urizen
The demon half of Vergil, made flesh and crowned Demon King in Devil May Cry 5.
Urizen is the primary antagonist of Devil May Cry 5: the demonic half of Vergil, brought into being when Vergil used the Yamato to purge his humanity and become a full demon. He plants a Qliphoth tree in Red Grave City to harvest its fruit, which would make him the undisputed ruler of the Underworld. Vergil's discarded human half, V, hires Dante to bring him down. Background
Urizen was designed to remind players of Mundus, the original Demon King of the 2001 Devil May Cry. Director Hideaki Itsuno called him the strongest enemy in the whole saga, a foe who barely moves from his throne and still overwhelms everyone who faces him. In Devil May Cry 5 he incapacitates Dante's crew, overpowers Nero, shatters Dante's sword Rebellion and takes Lady and Trish captive; a month later Nero and V return to destroy the Qliphoth's roots while Dante recovers, and after Urizen eats the tree's fruit, Dante defeats him with his newly awakened power before the dying V merges with him to become Vergil again.
