Bloodbending is a waterbending technique in Avatar: The Last Airbender that controls the water inside living bodies, giving the bender physical control of animals and people.
Lore & Background
Katara learns it from Hama, who offers to teach her the technique, and can only use it during a full moon, when her waterbending is at its strongest. She later uses it while searching for the man who killed her mother. In The Legend of Korra, Amon removes people's bending using bloodbending, and Korra restores it with energybending.
