Affiliation: Vampire Counts

Lore & Background

The Von Carsteins once ruled Sylvania openly as the Vampire Counts and raised undead armies that invaded the rest of the country in a series of devastating wars. Vlad was killed at the Siege of Altdorf by the Grand Theogonist, helped by Mannfred's treachery, and his wife Isabella took her own life there when she heard he had fallen. In Total War: Warhammer III, Vlad and Isabella, released separately in the earlier games, come together in the Vampire Counts' Sylvania faction (formerly Von Carstein); picking either one unlocks the other as a hero.
