Nagash
The first necromancer, source of the Warhammer undead.
Nagash is the first necromancer of the Warhammer Fantasy setting. He rose to power in Nehekhara, the first great human civilisation, many dynasties after its founding, and his black sorcery is the origin of the setting's undead.
Lore & Background
He indirectly created the first vampires in Lahmia, which led to civil war, and later began a vast ritual to kill everyone in Nehekhara and raise them as undead slaves; the last King of Nehekhara, Alcadizzar, killed him during it. His legacy includes the Tomb Kings, the risen armies of Nehekhara in the desert lands south of the Old World, and the Vampire Counts. The Orc warlord Azhag later found his Crown of Sorcery, which still held Nagash's spirit.
