Eskel's origins are shrouded in the same mystery as all Witchers; he was taken young from his parents to undergo the grueling Trials of the Grasses at Kaer Morhen. Like Geralt and Lambert, he survived the mutagenic process that grants them enhanced speed, reflexes, and resistance to disease, though some speculate he may have undergone additional experiments given his resilience. Throughout the years, he has patrolled the Continent alongside Geralt or on solo contracts—slaying beasts that threaten humanity while maintaining a low profile. While some of their number have perished in battle or succumbed to madness, and Kaer Morhen itself was largely abandoned after the pogroms but still used as a winter base by the remaining Wolf School witchers, Eskel has endured.
