Background
Every colonist dreams of living in Byzantium, but it is literally a gated community, closed to anyone without the means to belong. The city is laid out in rings of streets and docking bays around the Halcyon Holdings Corporation headquarters in the restricted Acropolis District, and its well-kept buildings are in a futuristic Art Nouveau style, unlike the plain prefab frontier towns. In the main quest The City and the Stars the Stranger comes here to find Minister Clarke and the dimethyl sulfoxide Phineas Welles needs.
