Background
Max was born into a working-class family but never wanted to be a laborer. Envying the peace his parents found in Scientism, he believed that studying it deeply would make him happy too, and left home against their wishes to join the Order of Scientific Inquiry. He has never fully accepted the answers Scientism gives about the universe. In the party he raises the player's Hack, Intimidate and Science skills, and his special attack is Trickshot; his companion quest is The Empty Man. He is voiced by Dave B. Mitchell.
