Monarch, once called Terra 1, is a moon of the gas giant Olympus in the Halcyon system and the site of a failed colony. The Board abandoned it after terraforming turned its native wildlife into large, ravenous monsters.

Background
Terra 1 was meant to be Halcyon's main colony. The Board planned to wipe out its native life and replace it with Earth plants and animals, but the process made the native species mutate and grow much larger, crippling the settlement. The Board declared a Hazard Clause over the whole moon and the corporations pulled out. One company used a legal loophole to take possession of it, renamed itself Monarch Stellar Industries and renamed the moon to match; the Board answered with a trade embargo. MSI runs the town of Stellar Bay, and the Iconoclasts hold the ruins of Amber Heights.
