Edgewater is a Spacer's Choice company town in the Emerald Vale on Terra 2, the first town the Stranger reaches. It exists to run the Saltuna Cannery, supervised by Reed Tobson.

Background
The town draws its power from the local geothermal plant, which it shares with the Botanical Labs where the Deserters have settled. When the Stranger arrives Edgewater is in trouble: it has had no visitors for several seasons, and many residents are sick with a plague caused by poor diet after the cannery ran short of saltuna and began padding its product with other ingredients. Two companions, Parvati Holcomb and Vicar Max, are found here. Depending on how the quest Comes Now the Power ends, the town is led by Reed Tobson or Adelaide McDevitt.
