Trinity's Helicopter Rescue

Trinity is a skilled computer programmer and hacker who escaped the Matrix and serves as first mate on Morpheus' hovercraft, the Nebuchadnezzar. She is proficient with computers, operating vehicles both inside and outside the Matrix, and in martial arts. In The Matrix (1999), Trinity pilots a Bell 212 helicopter to help rescue Morpheus; even after its hydraulic system is damaged, she keeps control long enough to get Neo and Morpheus to safety, then jumps out before it crashes.

Lore & Background

Some of her skills can be downloaded from outside the Matrix as needed, as when she flies a helicopter in the first film. In The Matrix (1999), after Morpheus is captured, Neo rescues him from a government building using a helicopter, and Trinity pilots the aircraft to extract them from the rooftop. In The Matrix Reloaded, Trinity is shot by Agent Thompson inside the Matrix, and Neo chooses to save her rather than reboot the Matrix, extracting the bullet and restarting her heart. In The Matrix Revolutions, she helps rescue Neo from a cut-off segment of the Matrix, where he is held by a program in the employ of the Merovingian. In The Matrix Resurrections, Trinity and Neo escape into a skyscraper, where they are pursued by helicopters, which Neo destroys.

In The Matrix Revolutions, she attempts to evade Machine pursuers on a hovercraft which crashes, resulting in her death. In The Matrix Resurrections, after Neo destroys the pursuing helicopters, the two leap from the skyscraper and Trinity begins to fly.
