In Their Own Story

The tension peaked as Earth and Mars sent science vessels to investigate the phenomenon on Venus. Political strains soared when the OPA was recognized as the government of the Belters. The crew of the Rocinante, having escaped Eros, found themselves at the center of a race between three governments to send ships through the new structure. After the high-speed transit by the Belter racing ship triggered defenses threatening humanity, Holden worked with the Investigator to disable them. Once the path was clear, the gate opened, revealing its true nature as a network of wormholes.
