Ashford

Klaes Ashford is the captain of the Behemoth in Abaddon's Gate, the former generation ship Nauvoo that the OPA has turned into a warship, with Carlos "Bull" de Baca as security officer. Ashford clashes with Bull over letting the ship serve as a refuge, and Bull and executive officer Michio Pa mutiny and imprison him. From his cell Ashford plots with Father Cortez to destroy the Ring with the Behemoth's communication laser, believing it will save humanity from the alien technology. After a brutal fight his side nearly wins, but he is overpowered and the plan fails.
