Martin Septim
Uriel Septim's illegitimate son, the priest of Kvatch who became emperor.
Martin (voiced by Sean Bean) is the illegitimate son of Emperor Uriel Septim and a priest in the city of Kvatch in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. After Kvatch is devastated by a Great Gate, the player, recognised as the Hero of Kvatch, persuades him to come to Weynon Priory, then escorts him and Jauffre to Cloud Ruler Temple, the stronghold of the Blades in Cyrodiil, where Martin is recognised as emperor and given command of the Blades.
Lore & Background
Martin deduces a way to reopen the Mythic Dawn's portal from the book that opened it, and with Jauffre decides to let the city of Bruma be attacked by Daedra so that a Great Gate opens and a Great Sigil Stone can be taken. Once the Amulet of Kings is returned to him, he travels with the Blades to the Imperial City to relight the Dragonfires and end the Daedric invasion.
