Quick Facts

Title: King of Worms
Affiliation: Necromancers

Lore & Background

Within the events of Daggerfall, Mannimarco is approached by an Orc named Gortworg. Gortworg had acquired a letter from the Emperor intended for the former queen of Daggerfall but did not understand its contents or the significance of the Mantella mentioned within it. Seeking answers, Gortworg consulted Mannimarco. This interaction sets in motion a chain of events where the Underking, who originally destroyed the first Numidium and was recuperating in a tomb in High Rock, becomes relevant to the plot. Mannimarco's role is strictly defined by this consultation; he represents the Necromancer faction that could potentially receive the Mantella if the player chooses that specific path.

Reader's Guide

Players navigating Daggerfall must make critical choices regarding who receives the Mantella after freeing it from its prison in Aetherius. One of the six available choices is to give the Mantella directly to Mannimarco. Selecting this option triggers a specific ending where he ascends to godhood. This path requires the player to have previously killed King Lysandus's murderer and stolen the totem of Tiber Septim from King Gothryd. Unlike other endings that involve political changes or the destruction of the Numidium, this outcome is unique to Mannimarco's character arc in Daggerfall.
