Oblivion
The demonic realm of the Daedra, and the crisis that bears its name.
Oblivion is the demonic realm of the Daedra in The Elder Scrolls and the namesake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, released on March 21, 2006. The game's story centres on the Oblivion Crisis, in which portals to the planes of Oblivion open and release hordes of Daedra on Tamriel while the fanatical Mythic Dawn cult works to open portal gates to the realm.
Lore & Background
Oblivion is one of the few settings outside Tamriel that the series visits: parts of The Elder Scrolls IV and all of its Shivering Isles expansion take place there, the Isles being the realm of madness ruled by the Daedric prince Sheogorath. The crisis is driven by Mehrunes Dagon, the Daedric Prince of Destruction, whose cult the Mythic Dawn assassinated Emperor Uriel Septim and stole the Amulet of Kings.
