Arachne Gorgon

The eldest Gorgon sister and maker of the first demon weapons.

Arachne is a spider-like witch in Soul Eater, the eldest of the three Gorgon sisters and leader of the organisation Arachnophobia. She is the second major villainess of the series.

Lore & Background

Branded a heretic by other witches, she made the first demon weapons 800 years before the story by joining the souls of witches with humans and weapons. Betrayed by her sister Medusa, she hid for 800 years, escaping Shinigami by scattering herself as countless black spiders and hiding most of her soul in a golem. She resurfaces when Asura awakens and plans to capture him and drown the world in madness. Maka and Soul kill her and take her soul, which makes Soul a death scythe.
