Death the Kid
Lord Death's young shinigami son, meister of the Thompson sisters and obsessed with symmetry.
Death the Kid, usually just called Kid, is the son of Shinigami (Lord Death) in Soul Eater; his name is a nod to Billy the Kid. He fights as the meister of the Thompson sisters, whom he chose because their matching weapon forms suit his need for symmetry. As a shinigami he is not required to collect souls or attend the DWMA, but he does both anyway.
Background
Kid was made from a part of his father's being, as his older brother Asura was, and began as an incomplete shinigami who grew into his own personality. He inherits his father's 'madness of order' as a crippling obsession with symmetry: he cannot fight with only one of the sisters, and the three white Lines of Sanzu on the left side of his hair trouble him because they are lopsided. The lines turn out to mark his status as a shinigami. After learning that he is in effect Asura's brother he fears his own full power, but with Maka's reassurance he joins the lines and takes his true form, which ends his father's life, since only one true shinigami can exist at a time.
