Stein

DWMA's mad-scientist teacher.

Franken Stein is a mad scientist hired as a teacher at DWMA early in Soul Eater, and is considered the most powerful meister the academy has ever produced.

Lore & Background

He treats everything, himself included, as a specimen, turns the large screw through his head, and is covered in stitches. Kind to his students, he suffers bouts of madness that push him to dissect whatever he sees. He reads opponents' souls with Soul Perception and fights well even without a weapon. His partners include Spirit, his childhood partner, and Marie Mjolnir, whose calming wavelength holds back his worsening madness after Asura's revival. Framed for Joe Buttataki's murder, he tracks down the real killer, Justin Law, and fights in DWMA's battle on the moon.
