Death Scythes

The strongest weapons, made for Shinigami.

Death scythes are the most powerful weapons in Soul Eater, a title for weapons worthy of being wielded by Shinigami.

Lore & Background

Creating one is a goal for DWMA students: a pair must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and then one witch, in that order, or lose the souls they have gathered. Eight death scythes are each given a region of the world to watch over. Spirit Albarn is the death scythe based at DWMA at the start, and Marie Mjolnir covers Oceania. After Death the Kid makes a truce with the witches, Soul becomes the last death scythe created.
