Narol
Darrow's uncle, who cheated the gallows for him and sent him to the Sons of Ares.
Narol is Darrow's paternal uncle, a Red, in Pierce Brown's Red Rising. When Darrow is hanged for illegally burying his wife Eo, Narol drugs him so that he survives his execution, and then delivers him to the Sons of Ares, the rebel group that turns Darrow against the Society.
Lore & Background
In Morning Star, Narol is caught sabotaging the Jackal's satellites, and he is tortured and executed. Adrius broadcasts the execution to Darrow's fleet, which sets off a riot of Sefi's Obsidians against the Gold prisoners.
Reader's Guide
Narol matters to the story twice: he saves Darrow's life after Eo's death and puts him in the hands of the Sons of Ares, and his public execution in Morning Star provokes the Obsidian riot in the Rising's fleet.
