Background
Prince Dutiful and Elliania are betrothed on condition that he slays the dragon Icefyre, and the party travels to the island of Aslevjal. There Fitz and the Fool fall into the realm of the Pale Woman, who tries to make Fitz her Catalyst. Fitz chooses to free Icefyre rather than kill him; the Pale Woman's stone dragon is stopped by Burrich, who is mortally hurt, and killed by Swift with a wizardwood arrow, and Icefyre and Tintaglia unite. Fitz finds the Fool dead and brings him back to life, and the Fool then leaves and breaks their Skill bond. At the end Nettle becomes head of Dutiful's coterie.
