Background
She catches Reyn's attention at a meeting between the Bingtown and Rain Wild Traders. When the Satrap is abducted and Bingtown burns, she flees with Reyn to the Rain Wilds, where the dragon trapped in the Khuprus family's last wizardwood log calls to her. She is later stranded on the river with the Satrap and rescued by a Chalcedean ship, keeping them both alive by guiding his behaviour. In the Rain Wild Chronicles she travels to Cassarack with Reyn, gives birth there, and flees on the barge Tarman when Chalcedeans attack her for her baby.
