Witches of Sin
Satella, Echidna, Minerva, Carmilla, Daphne, Typhon and Sekhmet: the seven Witches, plus Pandora and Hector.
The Witches of Sin are headed by Satella, the Witch of Envy and the main figure of worship of the Witch Cult, who is believed to be responsible for bringing Subaru to the parallel world and for his "Return by Death" ability. 400 years earlier she absorbed Envy Witch Genes she had no compatibility with, went out of control and killed the six other Witches of Sin: Echidna (Greed), Minerva (Wrath), Carmilla (Lust), Daphne (Gluttony), Typhon (Pride) and Sekhmet (Sloth).

Background
Satella's rampage nearly destroyed the world; the Dragon, the first Sword Saint and the Sage could not kill her and instead sealed her in a shrine at the Grand Cascade, which the Sage still watches over. Pandora, the Witch of Vanity, and Hector, the Warlock of Melancholy, stand alongside the seven. Infamously a silver-haired half-elf, she is the reason half-elves like Emilia face severe prejudice. Echidna, the Witch of Greed, is defined by curiosity toward the unknown and a thirst for knowledge, which she directs at Subaru's Return by Death, longing to become his advisor; black-hearted and unable to understand the feelings of others, she has no problem with sophistry, lying and deceiving to gain knowledge.
Minerva, the Witch of Wrath, dislikes conflict and came to understand that she had been crying out of rage, not sorrow, so she began punching people, which heals their wounds, and travels the world healing wherever people are in need.
Daphne, the Witch of Gluttony, lives to feel full and cares more about amount than taste, eating rugs, curtains and clothes when food runs out; trying to end her hunger she created the Demon Beasts, then lost control of them and released them into the world. Pandora, the Witch of Vanity, is the true main antagonist, the only witch still roaming freely after Satella's imprisonment, and her existence is a taboo for both moderate and radical members of the Witch Cult; she attacked the Elven village 100 years ago with Regulus and was behind the attack on Garkla and the failed White Whale conquest in which Theresia died. Hector, the Warlock of Melancholy, is absent from historical records yet holds some significance in the pasts of Roswaal and Echidna, with the Sanctuary apparently created to hide from him.
