The Sanctuary

The barrier-sealed refuge that houses the souls of the dead Witches of Sin.

The Sanctuary houses the souls of the deceased Witches of Sin: Echidna, Sekhmet, Typhon, Daphne, Minerva and Carmilla. Subaru and his friends travel there in the fourth arc seeking answers about the Witch's Cult. It appears to have been created as a way to hide from Hector, the Warlock of Melancholy.

Lore & Background

The Sanctuary is guarded by the demi-human Garfiel Tinzel. A barrier surrounds it; his half-sister Frederica Baumann left ten years before Arc 4 to find a safe haven for its people in case the barrier is ever lifted.
