Lore & Background

Julius has a strict view of nobility and puts those who show no respect in their place. At first he looks down on Subaru as unworthy to be called a knight, and he brutally beats him in a one-sided duel, an act that ends up tarnishing Julius's own status and reputation as a knight.

After Subaru comes to terms with his own faults and helps subjugate the White Whale, a great mabeast many knights had tried to kill, Julius shows his true face, develops a deep respect for Subaru and becomes one of his most trustworthy allies and friends. His younger brother is Joshua Juukulius.
