Gameplay

The PlayStation Vita version of Everybody's Golf 6 includes brand-new courses and lets players swap comments through the Live Area system. It also uses the handheld's augmented reality to view the course. Downloadable content was free at launch and could be bought from the PlayStation Store or at retail. A later PlayStation 3 port added cross-platform play and PlayStation Move support, plus two new modes: Slot Mode, where slot-machine wins grant in-game perks, and Minna no Short Course, which features only short holes. Two returning courses, Mt. Sakura C.C. and Northern Fox C.C., were also included. Outside Asia, this port was a PlayStation Store exclusive.

Reception

The PS Vita version of Everybody's Golf 6 earned a generally favorable aggregate score on Metacritic. PlayStation LifeStyle described it as an outstanding game full of fun that appeals to players of all ages. Simon Parkin of Eurogamer noted that while the game wouldn't be the star of the Vita's launch lineup, it was one of the strongest titles, providing tight, enjoyable challenge with fast loading times that fit the handheld perfectly. In Japan, Famitsu awarded it a score of 38 out of 40, with individual ratings of 10, 9, 10, and 9. Mark Langshaw of Digital Spy gave it four out of five stars, praising it for delivering an accessible golf experience without gimmicks, focusing instead on solid gameplay, depth, and charm. Armando Rodriguez of 411Mania scored it 7.9 out of 10, calling it a solid series entry with great graphics, fun but occasionally frustrating gameplay, strong online features, and plenty of unlockables. Roger Hargreaves of Metro gave it seven out of ten, stating that despite offering no surprises, its abundance of modes, options, and unlockables made it an excellent showcase for the PS Vita. At launch, the game was the best-selling Vita title in Japan.
