The tenth installment in Sports Interactive and Sega's football management series, Football Manager 2013, launched for Windows and Mac on 2 November 2012. A handheld edition, Football Manager Handheld 2013, followed for PlayStation Portable on 30 November, and later for iOS and Android on 13 December.

Gameplay
Gameplay in Football Manager 2013 follows the series tradition of taking charge of a professional, semi-professional, amateur, or international football team as manager. Players sign players to contracts, manage club finances, and deliver team talks. The simulation judges the player on various factors determined by the club's AI owners and board. A new mode called Football Manager Classic allows completing a season in approximately seven hours by simplifying club management while retaining the 3D match engine and player/staff database. The game also includes pre-set challenges that replicate real-world circumstances over a set period, usually half a season. Two additional challenges were added to the in-game store on 19 December 2012.
Release
Football Manager 2013 was officially announced on 6 September 2012 via a mock press conference video on Sports Interactive's YouTube channel, confirming over 900 new features including Football Manager Classic. Release was slated for before the Christmas holiday season. On 27 September 2012, a midnight release on 2 November 2012 was announced. A fully playable beta version was provided on 18 October 2012 to customers who pre-ordered the digital version via Steam or physical versions from selected retailers, with save data compatible with the final version. A game demo was made available on 26 October 2012.
