Gameplay
The player controls Rana, first mate of sky pirate Captain Bluebell, who accidentally released a curse of insects by removing a magical sword. With Captain Bluebell and his crew sentenced to hang, Rana has 24 hours to return the sword. The game has five regions of five hovering islands each. The player fights insect swarms that try to knock them off. Hitting an enemy knocks it back further with each hit until it falls. The player is knocked back further with each consecutive hit. An apple may spawn when a bug is knocked off, restoring the player's defense. If the player is knocked off, the game ends and they may try again.
Reception
The game received generally favorable reviews on Metacritic. Pocket Gamer noted that the swordplay quality at higher levels does not match the polished piratical trimmings, calling it a blemish on an otherwise charming downloadable fighter. Push Square stated the game does not live up to Mediatonic's previous PlayStation Minis, with swordplay in the concluding third detracting from the experience, but still found it a delightfully conceived piratical package. PlayStation Official Magazine – UK remarked that the monotony might make one want to hit themselves with the controller.
