Trafalgar Law, full name Trafalgar D. Water Law, is the captain of the Heart Pirates in One Piece, a pirate from the North Blue known as the "Surgeon of Death".

Background

He ate the Op-Op Fruit, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that lets him create a blue sphere around himself inside which he can cut and teleport objects and swap people's bodies. Law grew up in Flevance, the White Town, escaped it with White Lead Disease and joined the Donquixote Pirates. There he met Doflamingo's brother, Donquixote Rosinante, who set out with him to find a cure; they found the Devil Fruit, but Doflamingo killed Rosinante before they could escape, leaving Law bent on revenge. After the Paramount War he joins the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and although he allies with Luffy and the Straw Hats to bring down the Emperor Kaido, his real target is Doflamingo. After a crushing defeat by the Blackbeard Pirates his whereabouts are unknown, though he survived thanks to his crewmate Bepo, a polar bear. Hiroshi Kamiya voices him in Japanese and Matthew Mercer in the Funimation dub.
