Minato Namikaze is the Fourth Hokage of Konohagakure, a figure whose legacy is central to the Naruto series. He sacrificed himself to seal the Nine-Tailed Fox into his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki, during the attack on the village. The two share several physical traits throughout the series, but Minato is revealed as Naruto's father only in Part II. He was the mentor of Kakashi Hatake and the student of Jiraiya.
