Jaku City
The city destroyed when Tomura Shigaraki woke beneath its hospital.
Jaku City is a city in My Hero Academia and the site of one of the two opening battles of the Paranormal Liberation War. It is home to Jaku General Hospital, the hospital of Dr. Kyudai Garaki, under which lies the laboratory where he keeps his High-End Nomu and where Tomura Shigaraki is being remade.
Lore & Background
On a late March day a group of heroes led by Endeavor raids the hospital to capture Shigaraki and the doctor. The U.A. students interning with Endeavor and Ryukyu are given the job of evacuating civilians from the surrounding city. Inside, Mirko finds the laboratory, and she and Present Mic destroy the tank that holds Shigaraki. Garaki is caught.
Reader's Guide
Shigaraki wakes all the same. Strengthening his Decay with All For One's Quirk, he kills many heroes and reduces the hospital and much of the city around it to dust, with the decay spreading toward the evacuation teams. A news helicopter shows the destruction to the country. In the final war the hospital ruins are a battlefield again, where U.A. students and Mt. Lady fight and Gigantomachia, held at Jaku since the first battle, is woken.
