I-Island

The floating city of scientists where the film Two Heroes takes place.

I-Island is an artificial, moving island city in My Hero Academia and the setting of the 2018 film My Hero Academia: Two Heroes. The scientist David Shield, an old friend of All Might who designed many of his costumes, works there, and the island is hosting an exhibition called the I-Expo when the story begins.

Lore & Background

All Might brings Izuku Midoriya to the island during the summer break, at the invitation of David's daughter Melissa. She shows Izuku around, and they run into classmates from Class 1-A who have been invited for reasons of their own. Melissa, who is Quirkless, gives Izuku the Full Gauntlet, a device that lets him use his full power without injury.

Reader's Guide

During a formal party the villain Wolfram, who has slipped onto the island, seizes its security system, restrains the heroes present, All Might among them, and takes David hostage in order to break into the island's vault. Izuku, Melissa and the Class 1-A students make for the top of the building to shut the system down, fighting villains and security robots on the way. All Might and Izuku defeat Wolfram together.
