Incendiary Grenade

A bottle of fire for the things that will not stop charging.

The incendiary grenade is an improvised firebomb built from scrap by the Metro dwellers after the war of 2013. It appears in Metro: Last Light and both Metro Redux games, where it replaces the sticky grenade of the original Metro 2033. Thrown, it shatters on impact with any surface, including an enemy, bursts into a ball of flame and keeps the area burning for a few seconds. It is lethal to any human in the blast and even deadlier to mutants, which rarely avoid the flames; burning enemies flail for a few seconds before dying, and several grenades on one spot widen the fire. The light of the flames also keeps spiderbugs at bay, though a charged flashlight does that job for longer, and human enemies will spot the fire and know where Artyom is. Large mutants such as the demon, bear and rhino are less affected, but once alight they are vulnerable.
