Uboinik (Shambler)

The Uboinik, called the Shambler in the English versions of Metro: Last Light and Metro 2033 Redux and the Automatic Shotgun in the original Metro 2033, is a semi-automatic revolving shotgun built from scrap by Metro dwellers after the war. Its name blends the Russian words for 'killer' and 'jackhammer'. One of the most recognisable weapons of the series and a fixture of its promotional art, it is devastating at close range against almost any opponent, though its reload is slow and somewhat confusing. It has a six-chamber, revolver-style cylinder that uses spring clamps rather than solid chambers, so the shells are only held there before being fed into the single firing chamber, and it cycles with a short-recoil toggle-joint action in the manner of the Luger P08.
