Background
Roy Thomas and Gil Kane created Iron Fist, inspired by kung fu films; he first appeared in Marvel Premiere #15 in May 1974. The Iron Fist is a mystic force that lets its wielder summon and focus chi, and it comes from the city of K'un-L'un, which appears on Earth every ten years. Danny Rand starred in his own 1970s series and then shared Power Man and Iron Fist with Luke Cage as the Heroes for Hire.
