Background
Johnny Storm is a founding member of the Fantastic Four. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby made him as a reinvention of an earlier Human Torch, an android with the same name and powers created in 1939 by Carl Burgos for Timely Comics. Like his teammates, Johnny got his powers on a spacecraft hit by cosmic rays. His shout of "Flame on!" became his catchphrase, and as the youngest member he is brash and impulsive.
