Lore & Background

New York City is the primary setting for the Hood's rise to power. After stealing a hood and boots from a Nisanti demon, Parker Robbins uses his new abilities—levitation and invisibility—to commit petty robberies. He then escalates his criminal activities, eventually forming his own crime syndicate. The city's criminal underworld is where the Hood becomes a well-known figure, inviting a large contingent of villains to a meeting and giving each of them $25,000 of seed money to buy their loyalty. He proves his strength by seeking out and viciously beating Tigra, threatening her mother's life as a warning. The city is also where the Hood gatecrashes an auction held by the Owl, taking Deathlok for himself.
