Background
Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning and Michael Lopez created Elsa, who first appeared in Bloodstone #1 in December 2001 as a blonde teenage parody of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Artist Stuart Immonen redesigned her as a red-haired monster hunter in her late twenties for Warren Ellis' Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E. #1 (March 2006). She has served with Nextwave, the Midnight Sons and the Fearless Defenders, and Laura Donnelly played her in the Disney+ special Werewolf by Night.
