How it changed

The player can send Alidoro to either Hotel Krat or Venigni Works.^[1] If sent to Venigni Works, Alidoro is found near the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer after a boss fight.^[1] Venigni deciphers vessels that the player brings to him.^[1] The game's plot reveals that Geppetto added a secret directive into the Covenant for controlling Puppets.^[2]

Some Puppets became "Sentient" with awakened Egos, bypassing Covenant restrictions.^[2] The King of Puppets is the revived Puppet of Carlo's friend Romeo.^[2] The player character P is the revived puppet of Carlo, who was Geppetto's son.^[2] A scene shows Giangio, who had posed as a meek Alchemist at Hotel Krat, is actually Philippus Paracelsus, and he is seen leaving Krat while on a phone call.^[3]

A 2023 walkthrough by El Ouardighi states that after reaching Hotel Krat, the player encounters several NPCs including Treasure Hunter Alidoro.^[1] The same source notes that the player has two choices for where to send Alidoro: Hotel Krat or Venigni Works.^[1] The walkthrough instructs the player to talk to Venigni to decipher a vessel.^[1]
