Sophia
The voice that guides P, held captive on the Isle of the Alchemists.
Sophia is a sentient Puppet whose "Ego" awakened, allowing it to bypass the Covenant's restrictions.[1] It is a revived Puppet version of a dead Human who turned into the Ergo powering it.[1] The character Paracelsus labels sentient Puppets like Sophia "a new type of humanity".[2]
How it changed
Geppetto added a secret directive into the Covenant giving him nearly-unlimited control of most Puppets.[1] Sentient Puppets like Sophia could bypass those restrictions because their "Ego" awakened.[1] The King of Puppets was the revived Puppet of Romeo, Carlo's best friend.[1] Until his death, the King had been trying to avoid further death and warn P of Geppetto's deception.[1]
The man posing as Alidoro is an impostor who killed the original and was complicit in the hotel attack.[1] The "King of Riddles" contacting P by phone is Arlecchino, one of the first Sentient Puppets.[1] A post-credits scene reveals Giangio is actually Philippus Paracelsus, a crafty deceiver.[2] During a phone conversation, Paracelsus refers to P as "a new brother" and describes sentient Puppets as "a new type of humanity".[2]

TheGamer's walkthrough notes that after reaching Hotel Krat, players encounter several NPCs including Treasure Hunter Alidoro.[3] Defeating main bosses in Lies of P rewards players with Rare Ergos.[3]
