Vivid Vice

Vivid Vice (stylized in all caps) is the debut extended play by Japanese band Who-ya Extended, released on February 17, 2021 through Sony Music Japan. It came in three editions: a standard version, a first limited edition, and a limited edition. The first limited edition includes a DVD featuring the music video for the title track "Vivid Vice." The limited-edition CD+DVD set features artwork tied to the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series.

Across all songs, the album emphasizes themes of running and speed. The title track "Vivid Vice" was used as the second opening theme for the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen. An editor from Billboard Japan noted that the album surpasses the unavoidable expectations for such a project, stating that "Vivid Vice"—with its lyrics and sound image built around the main characters overcoming obstacles and curses—did not disappoint viewers captivated by the anime’s world.

Funplus Music highlighted the title’s blend of "vivid" and "vice" as reflecting various conflicts. It described the drums as carrying forward, the bass playing serious lyrical melodies, and the guitar using delicate tonal shifts to express the song’s mental landscape. The outlet concluded that while each element differs, the balance mirrors the lifestyle of youth, where anxiety, anger, hope, sadness, and joy keep moving forward amid confusion.
