Culling Game Rules Announced

A battle royale that ends only when its players are dead, unless the rules are rewritten.

The Culling Game is the battle royale that Kenjaku sets in motion after the Shibuya Incident. Megumi Fushiguro brings the news to Yuji Itadori: the sorcerers Kenjaku awakened will be forced to take part, his stepsister Tsumiki among them.

Lore & Background

Tengen explains its purpose: to gather enough cursed energy to merge Tengen with all of mankind in Japan. The game is played inside barriers called colonies, and shikigami called Kogane serve as the interface between each player and the game. It will not end until every player is killed, but players who hold enough points may add new rules.

Reader's Guide

The sorcerers build their plan on that provision. Hajime Kashimo adds a rule that lets all players see one another's status. Hiromi Higuruma, after his trial of Yuji, spends his points on a rule that allows players to transfer points to each other. Kenjaku later forces through a rule that ends the game once every player but him and Sukuna is dead, and before dying adds one that lets Sukuna, in Megumi's body, begin the merger.
