Geto Suguru's Identity Reveal
The man leading the curses wears Suguru Geto's body, and Gojo knows his friend is dead.
When Suguru Geto steps out in Shibuya Station to seal Satoru Gojo, Gojo knows the man cannot be his friend: he killed Geto himself the previous year. The impostor then shows what he is, an ancient sorcerer living in Geto's corpse.
Lore & Background
Geto, a Special Grade sorcerer turned curse user, was defeated by Yuta Okkotsu and killed by Gojo at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen 0. In the main story he appears alive, leading the cursed spirits Mahito, Jogo and Hanami. Before the Prison Realm closes, the impostor opens his skull to expose a brain with a mouth and explains that his technique lets him transplant his brain into other bodies; he took Geto's corpse to gain Cursed Spirit Manipulation. For a moment Geto's body resists, choking itself, before the seal completes.
Reader's Guide
More of the truth follows. Choso names the impostor as Noritoshi Kamo, remembered as the most evil sorcerer in history, and Pseudo-Geto answers that Kamo is only one of the identities he has used. Tengen finally supplies his name: Kenjaku. Geto's followers Nanako and Mimiko Hasaba, enraged at the theft of his body, beg Sukuna to kill him.
