Astrid
Hiccup's closest ally, a Deadly Nadder's rider, and later chieftain of New Berk at his side.
Astrid Hofferson is one of the young Vikings of Berk and Hiccup's love interest, voiced by America Ferrera in the animated films and series. She trains alongside Hiccup in the dragon-fighting class and rides Stormfly, a blue female Deadly Nadder. In the television series she is the unofficial second-in-command of the dragon training academy, and by the end of The Hidden World she and Hiccup marry and become chieftains of New Berk.

Lore & Background
In the first film, Hiccup's success in training makes Astrid suspicious and jealous; she discovers him with Toothless, and a flight on the Night Fury convinces her the dragon is friendly. She later helps Hiccup see that he spared Toothless out of compassion, joins the ride against the Red Death, and afterwards kisses him. In How to Train Your Dragon 2 she is Hiccup's girlfriend and is captured with the other riders by Drago. In the series, Hiccup gives her a betrothal necklace during the fifth season of Race to the Edge. In The Hidden World she flies with Hiccup and Stormfly to find the Hidden World, and a decade later the couple visit Toothless with their daughter and son.
