The Dragon Riders
Hiccup and his friends, each bonded to a dragon: Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, Barf and Belch.
The Dragon Riders are Hiccup and the young Vikings of Berk who ride dragons. In the first film Hiccup shows his classmates how to befriend the training dragons, and they fly to the dragons' nest to help fight the Red Death. In the DreamWorks Dragons series the riders are Hiccup on the Night Fury Toothless, Astrid on the Deadly Nadder Stormfly, Fishlegs on the Gronckle Meatlug, Snotlout on the Monstrous Nightmare Hookfang, and the twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut sharing the Hideous Zippleback Barf and Belch.

Lore & Background
The series follows them through Berk's new Dragon Training Academy, where Astrid is the unofficial second-in-command. Heather later joins them, and Dagur, once their enemy, becomes a Dragon Rider on a Gronckle he calls Shattermaster. In How to Train Your Dragon 2 the riders are captured by Drago and escape with Eret's help, and Eret has joined them by The Hidden World, where they rescue captured dragons and finally release Berk's dragons to the Hidden World.
