Lore & Background
Fred-104 is a SPARTAN-II supersoldier equipped with biomedical augmentation and powerful armor. He serves in John-117's squad and is known for his sense of intuition, which saves his team on several occasions. During the events of Ghosts of Onyx, Dr. Catherine Halsey sends a message back to Earth, which is under attack by the Covenant; in response, Lord Hood sends the SPARTAN-IIs Fred-104, Linda-058, and Will-043 to Onyx. After the UNSC fleet at Onyx is destroyed save for one stealth ship, the Dusk, the remaining human forces discover a Forerunner city and are guided into a massive sphere by Dr. Halsey. Fighting off Covenant pursuers, the humans find an entrance to a Dyson Sphere. Kurt-051 remains behind to detonate two nuclear weapons to stop the Covenant from following. Inside the Dyson Sphere, Fred takes command of the survivors and orders everyone to search for a method of escape.
In Their Own Story
The rain on Reach tasted like ash and ozone. Fred-104 crouched behind the shattered hull of a destroyed Scorpion tank, amber visor scanning the treeline where Covenant Elites advanced with terrifying speed. "John, we need to fall back to the extraction point," he transmitted, voice steady despite the chaos erupting around them. Kelly was already moving, flanking left, while Linda took position on a ridge, her sniper rifle silent but deadly. "Hold the line," John's response crackled over the comms, distant and firm. Fred nodded to himself. He checked his energy shields, flickering dangerously low. He wasn't just fighting for survival; he was holding the gap so the rest of the team could live. With a calculated burst of speed, he surged forward, drawing fire away from the extraction zone, his movements a blur of green armor and tactical precision. In that moment, amidst the screaming metal and alien fire, Fred became the line between victory and annihilation for Blue Team.
