Requiem is the Forerunner shield world where Halo 4 is set. Years after Halo 3, the wreck of the Forward Unto Dawn is caught in Requiem's gravity well and passes through an opening to crash-land on its interior, where Master Chief and Cortana fight a new Covenant faction and the Promethean Knights.
Lore & Background
Cortana tries to warn the UNSC Infinity away from Requiem's gravity well, and the Didact attacks Infinity after it is dragged inside. In the Spartan Ops mode set six months later, Spartan squads clear Jul 'Mdama's Covenant and Promethean forces from Requiem's interior while both sides search it for a copy of the Librarian.
