Story
A decade ahead, the malevolent future version of Danny Phantom, Dan Phantom, attacks Valerie Gray and destroys the ghost shield protecting Amity Park. The Observers in the Ghost Zone witness the devastation and task Clockwork with preventing Danny from turning evil. In the present, Danny feels stressed about the upcoming Career Aptitude Test. After school, he fights Box Lunch, the offspring of the Box Ghost and the Lunch Lady, but the battle blows up the Nasty Burger. Danny discovers a medallion dropped by Box Lunch along with Mr. Lancer's answer booklet for the test. In his room, Tucker examines the medallion, which summons a merged Skulker and Technus from the future. After defeating this SkulkTech, Danny, Sam, and Tucker use its medallion to reach Clockwork's lair, where Clockwork appears and fights Danny. The group realizes that cheating on the C.A.T. is the moment Danny becomes evil, so they flee to the future before Clockwork can defeat him. There, Danny fights Valerie until Sam and Tucker stop her. Dan Phantom intervenes, and Danny tells Sam and Tucker to remove their time medallions to return to the present quickly. Dan fuses the time medallion inside Danny's body, trapping him in the future, and throws him into the Ghost Zone. Danny finds Vlad's ghost portal, and Vlad explains that Dan was created when he used his Ghost Gauntlets on Danny. Vlad removes the time medallion with the gauntlets, allowing Danny to go back. Danny races to the Nasty Burger, learning that his turning point to evil is actually his family and friends dying in an explosion there. He defeats Dan with his Ghostly Wail and seals him in the Fenton Thermos. Too weak to save his loved ones, Danny is rescued when Clockwork appears and restores everything. The next day at school, Danny returns the test booklet to Lancer and agrees to take a makeup exam the following week, thus averting the tragic future.
